For the 2020 Beer Swap a collection of various local and regional Michigan brews including a tart cherry libation. I packaged it in a Japanese tool box sized to hold 8 16oz cans or a fat roll of Japanese chisels and a brass mallet. As with a Japanese Tool Box the wood is simple Western Red Cedar. Included with the beer and box are four tuba four coasters (I think I heard Grant say something about not seeing any of those ;-)

Overall a fun project and a great swap!

You took better pictures than I did. Love the box and my friends loved the beer. They couldn’t wait for it to arrive. I think they were really wanting to get the beer to drink. One of them has by the Saugatuck brewery. Great job on the swap.

That’s a nice tool box, Bill. I love the Japanese style lid.

Excellent work Bill! Those Japanese toolboxes are great. I love the way the lids work and how easy it is to set the lid aside for full and unfettered access to the contents. And getting one full of beer would be AWESOME! Great job man :-)

A tool box full of beer. What a great idea.

Well done Bill! Kind of funny you sent a box on this one. Boxes aren’t usually popular in these swaps.

Great idea. So simple but it only works if it is well done, and yours is. Great job.

Box´O´beer, whats not to like! Like the “proud” joinery on the box.
