This desk is to fit in an very specific space and is very short (26 1/2” tall) to suit the needs of my very short grandma!

Made from maple and a purchased countertop.
The bottom drawer is a file cabinet. Drawer slides are nice bottom mount soft closing Blum slides. Sprayed lacquer finish.

It was a fun, quick build. I’m also working on cabinets for a whole house, so I am all set up and in the mode already.

Just remember to remove the helper before installing the desk, Pete! Though I’m sure grandma would appreciate the visitor!

It would appear sewing could be incorporated into such a desktop. Whatever Granny does, you gotta love a custom fit.

Absolutely love the “Kid corral” :-)

Nice desk, I like the Bookcase as part of the desk legs.
