This is the matching piece to this night stand that I have built two years ago. While the result looks very similar, I simplified the construction, so it took we 50% less time – all panels are false panels glued up out of 3/4” boards of solid DRM, drawer is simpler and lighter – with a single-board front. I didn’t bother with ebony plugs this time.

not pure g&g but it has many of the influences,a modern approach id say.i know what you mean by cutting the build time g&g can be quite time consuming if you do all the bells and whistles,probably why many are afraid to try it.this has a nice look to it,great job making it your own.the link doesn’t work though,says page not found.

yeah pretty similar except no plugs and a little different drawer construction.i know too well making those plugs.big fan of darrell myself,used his books to do a hall table.
