Had a piece of wood in my stash and have no idea of the species. Not only was there a colour variety, but in addition the wood was full of blemishes which added to the character and eventual challenge to the boot being carved. I had my idea of how it was to look but the wood had it’s idea. In the end the wood won out and I present to you a boot of many colours!
Enjoy!

Thanks to TZH I was able to recall and identify the wood species of the boot as Rocky Mountain Juniper.
