Wooden sign ’’Fishing house…’’ 200×50x2.5 cm, larch. Two 25cm boards glued together with biscuits. Live edge was completely made by 30 degree tilted jigsaw, burned with small gas torch. Letters and fishes were carved by small router, 6mm straight bit, coloured black, some part of fish made with pyrograph. Finish – stained with oak coloured stain. On 8 points, inside letters, I drilled holes to mount on a wall. I gave customer black headed screwes so the will not be visible.

Very nicely done, Ivan!
I envy you for your freehand routing abilities. If I would try that, you would hear lots of bad words. Of course, on the last letter. :D

nicely done, Ivan !!
you gotta watch those hand-routed signs. I started that back in the 1970s and 15 years later,
I had a full fledged sign business with 6 employees !!
so much for the “hobby”, huh.

Sweet sign Ivan. I should make one like that and put it on my boathouse and see if anyone knows what it says.
That will keep them guessing.

You came up with some great ideas Ivan. Free handed router, takes some skill.

That is a good looking sign, Ivan. What bit do you use to do the carving?... the 11 degree carving bit?

Cheers, Jim

I don’t think so… I’m still looking for the beef RIBs!... methinks something is fishy here.
