This is the second dining table I made several years ago. A client came by one day and saw it wanted to buy it. I replaced it with the trestle table table which is the third table i made. It was made with cherry edging, walnut legs and burl walnut veneer.

Excellent work Phil! The finish is great and the burl top really makes this piece pop.

WOW! this thing looks amazing. I was looking at your display table and clicked over to this. This is impressive. I hope you got a good price for it and it must have been hard to part with it.

This table wasn’t my best work, but I tend to be critical on what I build. I built this table several years ago but the mistakes I made finally got to me because I knew I could do better. Somebody stopped by one day and wanted it. I told him the things that were wrong with it and corrected most of them and he still wanted it so I let it go for a more than fair price. I built a trestle table to replace this table which I am pretty fond of. The first table I built was made from recycled lumber that was used in a tobacco blender at a cigarette factory my daddy worked at. I still have that table at a cabin on the farm my mother has.

Outstanding table, really great walnut burl on top.
