Celtic Knot Rolling Pin. I had to do one More! African Cherry and Maple. The maple strips are introduced in pairs in four separate glue-ups, and then the sides are trimmed to expose the design…..Then to the lathing. This is the maximum size I can do on my midi lathe…..18 inches. The center section is fairly flat and then begins to taper toward each end, culminating at the two-tone end caps. The pin has been sanded to 220 and finished with food grade mineral oil.
