I have seen many fantastic cutting boards on this site and have copied several myself so I decided to try something different. Why not circles for a change, never did I think I would get so involved in a project. I found out just how difficult things can be when you don’t have the right tools or the right material. By that I mean material size. Because I wanted to keep it all end grain, I had to glue up pieces to obtain the thickness I was looking for and that involved almost every one in this project. I should have just purchased material the right thickness to begin with. The base or main body part could have also been one solid piece, then I could have just drilled holes instead of making separate pieces. Speaking of drilling holes, I used a circle cutter to drill the large size. I know, stupid right, well that’s how we learn. It is 13 1/4×18 1/2×1.25 thick. It will have a 3/8 border of walnut to finish it off. You can see the filler I used (epoxy) where my fitting was not to accurate. I would like to build another correcting what I believe to be errors and see what happens. Comments are welcome, enjoy. Dave
