My sister in law wanted me to build a dinning room table base for a Race Track shaped bevel glass top. She saw a picture on Pinterest of a small table with legs like this and said She wanted a table Wit legs like that. My first bent lamination and carving project. It’s Black Walnut bent lamination finished with Liberian finishing oil. I’m very pleased with how it turned out. The glass will be delivered this week.

that is just an incredible bent lamination,i can only guess the amount of time you spent carving and sanding that base.did you have any plans for this or just wing it.make sure to post a final pic when you get the glass and it’s setup.

Thank you all. The design process was a sort of creeping elegance. It started with the general shape of the legs, then….. how to make it, and how to make it strong enough.. there was never a drawing or plan to speak of. It was a family design effort, my step daughter, my sister in law and her husband and my wife. We were all over the place. Started with four legs and an apron. Turned out pretty nice though.
