Good day to all.

I just made an addition to my carver s bench,,, a carver s vise, same wood beech, same finish , found a picture on pinterest, fully adjustable in all direction a wonder to work with
While doing this project, I made a n artist easel for my wife so she is also equiped properly to do some painting.
She is happy, me too , now I ‘ll go back to my carving project,,, Should be posted sometime, carving became my new passion, it takes time it takes skills, I am finding inspiration with some of you guys , so thank you all , and feel free to comment.

Have a nice day in your shop.

Great work on both pieces!
The vise looks fantastic and very useful. I’m sure the easel is much appreciated too.

Well, that’s a fine looking thingamajig! I have no idea what I’m looking at, but it looks very well made!

Héhé,,, Jerry
I’m glad I fooled you, it goes that way, for the part of the jig flat on the bench you can turn your carving 360 degres, the vertical piece raises up or down, the horizontal one set s your work left or right tilt as you wish, and front or back of course if I had left my carving on it would have been much easier to understand, but for the moment , it is a secret,,, even I don’t know what is to come héhé
it is made out of beech wood,,,

Have a nice day, and play safe in the shop.

Great addition, and concept, not sure how really moves, bit if you can adjust the carving piece to different heights and angles, that will work well.

Great Job on the easel too.

Carving is a skill, and yes you have to have the imagination, and patients. My dad carved decoys close to 20 years, unfortunately I did not get that talent. But I did pick up on other things.

Fantastic jig. That could be used more many things besides carving. Thanks for sharing. Added to my favorites.
