It is not a Rocket

When i was making this stool a comment was made that it looked like I was sitting on a rocket. So when I made the seat there was a lot of shaping to distract the eye from that. Think it worked out.

The timber is Australian Silky Oak. A colleague had to take a tree down in his yard, and he salvaged some of the trunk for me. The lengths were not huge so I will not get much more from it than this stool.

My wife wants two. So matching the timber will be difficult, so I probably won’t try. My sister wants two too.

Not sure why but when I post from my phone the images are always sideways. If someone knows how to fix that let me know.

Super cool shape!
The legs are great on this stool. Excellent build.
You can try cropping the pics (just a tiny bit). That seems to fix the sideways postings.
It did for me at least.
Great stool.

Ayeeee! War of the Worlds!

Nice stool 8^) I can see how you really don;t want to make just one, a full set is required as well as plenty for all those who want some. Get cracking!

My wife wants one too. You are going to be very busy. The form looks very original. My wife describes it as midcentury modern meets Tatooine.
