Reorganizing my new shop space and eliminating my mobile tool storage cart created a need for a place to store my cordless tools and extra batteries.
I've seen many of these and have been wanting to make one so I came up with this design. It has places to hand my cordless tools, places to store extra batteries and a place to mount the chargers for the batteries.
The power strip that the battery chargers are plugged into is plugged into an outlet that has a timer that controls the power. I usually put the battery on the charger and set the timer for 2 hours or less and forget it. The timer prevents "cooking" my batteries since I'm old and sometimes forget that I have batteries charging.
The chargers are mounted on top of the cabinet in such a way that I can see the lights on the chargers.
My batteries are stored on shelves that slide out so I can easily get to them and allows me to store a lot of batteries in a compact space.
The cordless tools are hung on the bottom.
