I made a bait that has a rotating tail and such a cool sound. It’s called a whopper plopper. After a fashion I got it to work. It’s made of white pine. Everything is hand made except the hooks.

A great video of it that shows the complete build and in action in the water… such a cool sound. Click the picture below.

As always great video, and great bait.

PS I use the toaster-oven to heat up the acrylic for bending.

Thanks, Ya, I had a good heat gun before it burned out. I haven’t had much use for one since then so didn’t replace it. Much better than a torch for sure. The oven thing sounds good too.

Thanks, they lowered the water to repair the dam last fall. The fishing has been horrible where last year it was fantastic. So, the lures aren’t doing much right now. Covid year for the fish too I guess ;-)

You mean the lead pot? It’s a pot that melts led with an electric element and it has a nipple beneath it so that when you lift the lever it drips lead into a hole in the bottom of the lure.
