Made this for a friends son,maple from tree in their yard and cherry I had on hand.Wife bought a me a 65watt laser so have been playing with it

Nice work! How is the box put together? Miters, splines, bisquits? Looks like you are working with end grain on you joint. How deep will the laser cut? I have never played around with one so I am curious. Does to work like a CNC? Thanks for sharing.

thanks for comments,corners are mitered,top and bottom are screwed on so she can and her son’s ashes.I can cut a little over 1/4 ” operates like a cnc.I was debating between cnc router and the laser ,Picked the laser because I think you can get more detail.

Nice tribute box Bill. I love that grain wrap on the miters, and of course you can probably tell I’m partial to trees as a signature..

Steve thanks for comments,grain matches on 3 corners,I actually burned tree on wrong side so unmatched side would be in the back.I’m not telling her
