Inspired by posts on this site, I set myself a challenge of making some tools in my new workshop.
This was an opportunity to learn more about woodwork and solve problems.
First up is a mallet. The handle is made from beech spalting. The head is comprised of zebrano outer on a walnut inner core.
Finished with boiled Linseed oil.
More will be posted later.

Gotta love shop made tools, nice choice of wood too!
