ATV Trailer

My next door neighbor does a fair amount of ATV camping. He had one of the two passenger, Polaris XP-900 ATV’s. To carry all his camping equipment he needed a small box trailer. He was able to locate a new 8” utility trailer that had been slightly damaged. He cut the frame down to 48” and ask if he could hire me to build the box. I built the box so it could be removed. It was attached to metal brackets around the side of the frame. He wanted metal corners to prevent it from being dinged by the brush. I had an extra sheet of galvanized metal left form the installation of my furnace so we bent it and made a waterproof cap. To protect his equipment and store food items away from camp robbers, I attached a lockable hasp on the back. A small boat or kayak can be lashed to the top if he is going to the lake. I painted it with primer and he did the final coat of blue to match his ATV. He even added a racing stripe to the side. I bet he was the envy of all his ATV buddies.
