This five-drawer box was made from a single piece of mahogany that a coworker gave me from cleaning out her late father’s estate. I used container lids that I found in the kitchen pantry to lay out the design. Constructing the box included all of the typical bandsaw box steps, plus a little hand carving to clean up the look on the base. Drawer pulls made with oak dowel. Finished with Watco spray lacquer. Drawers flocked in black as the last touch.

Interesting. What is it 10/4 stock? Looks to be about 12” tall.

I’m not specifically sure. 10/4 sounds about right.

There is a cut line between box 5 and the base in the first picture, but I did not see it on the building process. Was it add later?
The glue up picture is super.
Thanks for posting!
