Every little girl loves to serve tea so when the granddaughter was about 2 I decided to make her a table and chairs so we could have tea. I had an extra solid maple door that was about 28 inches square. I made a skirt and added legs to make the table. My wife had a small chair from her childhood that I used as a pattern. The chairs were made from cherry. My son calls her his little panda, so I got on the internet and fortunately I was able to come up with some fabric featuring pandas. The first guest to come for tea was grandma, of course. I had to come for coffee and donuts. She is now quite the social hostess with all her friends.

Nice job, Grandpa! Those look like they’s last a few generations.
It’s always a pleasure to build for our grandkids.

Nice job on table and chairs,I have made 4 table and chair sets for grand kids and friends.Your chairs look comfy and wish I would have made padded chairs after spending many hours with tea and classroom instruction.
Again nice job
