This site is not set up to show more than one workshop but I spent so much time and effort in planning this shop I consider it as one of my biggest projects. The footprint is 40X60”. Beside the work area there is a spray room and office. Over that is a loft for wood storage and the air and heating system. The office area also houses a compressor and the vacuum system as well as a bathroom. The building is post and beam construction with power air and vacuum to each work station. The shop is on the left of the completed house.

That’s got to be every guy’s total dream shop. It rates right up there with a dream Man Cave.

I also helped on the house side. Lon and I laid hardwood floor throughout the upper floor and I helped build most of the cabinets. I did all the tile work in the entry, kitchen, pantry and 3 bathrooms. I also did the foe rock work on the stairs and around the fireplace.

I thoroughly enjoy every bit of that house and shop. I’m on track to own something like this as my next home as long as the economy and or world don’t end first. Thanks for sharing

wow. A dream come true. Do you need any new relatives? :-0

I could retire to that, or even start a job there.

Nice shop..

I would gladly pay you wine and whisky to come and work in your shop. You can’t come and work in Lon’s shop. Alas, it is no more. Lon sold out and moves to Arizona where he built another shop just like the one I helped him build here in Idaho. He took all his tools except for the 24” Laguna bandsaw and the big drum sander I got from him. I do some re-saw work with my bandsaw but it would not compare to the 3” blade you run. I looked through you projects and was quit impressed. You do some fine work.

I to have a Hitachi product. It is a 13 inch plainer. It is a good tool, but like most of what Hitachi makes, they quit and leave you hanging. I finally found a place where I could purchase replacement blades. My Laguna has a 5Hp motor, no lack of power there.

Ed,

What a great shop. Those high ceilings make me jealous.
