Casket for a dog.

This was an unusual request for me. My Sister in law has a very old dog. Well over 17 years old and getting in bad health and getting close to passing. She asked me if I could make a box to bury the dog in. Just a box. I told her it would be my honor. I decided “just a box” would not do. A special dog deserves a special box. This is what I came up with. Still simple but with added touches such as a good finish, a cross and padded inside made it a little better. The dog is a yorkshire terrier, small dog but I needed to size it. I drove my cats crazy measuring them. About the same size. Thanks for looking.

Looks like a special project for a special friend. I’ve always been stunned when ppl try to argue that critters don’t have a after life. If God can make a couple donkeys talk then he surely has a place for mans best friend in Heaven

Our special friends deserve a special final resting home. Ilike Dave P’s idea, maybe a wooden bone? Nice work Jeff.

And people said that I was strange for preparing for my cat of 16yrs passing. The cat’s name was Snowflake hence the snowflake burnt into casket’s cover.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I appreciate them. Hopefully my SIL won’t need this for a while but it’s ready when the dogs time comes. Gary, that is a beautiful one for Snowflake. Very nice indeed.
