A woodworking friend in the UK added handle bars to a wooden toy quad bike he made so I thought I’d see what I could do; thank you Derek.
The pattern is free from an Aussie woodworking friend Tony Slattery.

This toy is a gift for a little bloke I see at hydrotherapy who has a birthday this week.

Thank you one and all.
The little bloke has been coming to hydrotherapy at the same time as my appointment for nearly a year; he has a very rare short muscles condition which makes walking hard work.
As I have a grandson with a disability, my heart goes out to this little Aussie.
I hope to put a big smile on his face on Friday, which is his actual birthday, when I see him. Cheers

OK Pete you know the drill
document the changes
amend the drawings
provide technical reason for the change
include a Time and materials brief
and submit your technical change package to Mr Slattery for approval.

Otherwise drill a hole and bung a dowel in!

Thank you Rob.
The measurement was reasonably precise for the drilled holes and yes bung in a measured dowel.
I’ve also sent notifications to Mr Tony Slattery as I did with previous modifications.
For my build of this beaut toy, I only use the pattern of the plan that Tony did.
All works well; simple, strong & safe play toy.
