Segmented vessel from bird’s eye maple with a floating disc bottom. Approximately 7” diameter and 5 1/2” tall. I thought adding some color would be nice but it looks too dark to my eye. Oh well. Still need to make a cover. I’ll work on the cover when the weather cools off a bit; 96 F in the garage is a bit warm.

Beautiful vessel. The decorations you’ve added are great. I invite you to join and post the vessel in the Gallery.

I have posted several of my projects on that website but just haven’t renewed my membership yet. Thanks for the compliment.

Perhaps it looks darker in person but in the pictures at least it looks great. Don’t forget to post pictures of the lid when it is finished.

Time to get an AC for the shop! I have one of those portable units you normally vent through a window but instead, I added some exhaust ports in the garage door. My AC also acts as a heat pump for the winter. It makes the shop usable year round. Keep an eye open on Craigslist. You will often see them on sale once it starts to get a little cooler. People buy them when their AC goes out but don’t need them after it is fixed and just want them gone.

Looks real good Julian. You put so much effort into each project. I like the shape, it reminds me of a barrel. I’ll have to try that sometime. We had some warmth in the sun today, first time this year. Maybe the garden will grow yet.
