Hello, The Covid-19 stay @ home gave me some extra time to finish this Blanket Chest I started for my Son a few years ago. The plans are from the April 2014 Popular Woodworking magazine & authored by Mark S. The Chest is 43” X 24” X 20”. It is too big & heavy for my taste but lots of room. I made my own templates for the inlay & used Hard Maple, Black Walnut, Redheart, & Yellowheart for the inlay woods. I used my palm router, scroll saw, & exacto knives
& lots of sanding & fitting of the individual parts. The main chest is made from Cherry with Black Walnut bars & plugs ( 73 of them ) made form a single board. Hinges are 60 lb. torsion hinges from Rockler. The finish is 5 coats of
Min-Wax wipe on satin poly. Thanks for lookin…............................Jack
