After I finished the mirror frame in the guest room bathroom I saw my wife heading towards me with a 2’ pice of white oak.

I never saw her walking around with a piece of lumber before.

She said. “Can you make me a robe rack in the style of the mirror frame from this?”
I said yes righ away!

Since this piece is about 24” long I made as a sample, prototype piece for the mirror frame I said that’s a great idea, wish I though of it.

I added four 7/16” square mortises to each side, 3 robe hooks and keyhole hangers to the rear.

I drilled out two 3/8” holes one slightly above the other and chiseled out the waste for the keyhole fittings and hanging screws.

I wanted to hang it from 2 studs but also wanted it centered so I off set the hangers on the rear of the rack so it would be centered on the wall behind the door.

You never cease to amaze me! That wallpaper is outstanding as is the robe rack. Although I am curious about the need for 3 robe hooks in the guest bathroom. :D

Thanks Art.
I see what you mean. I didn’t think of that. That was pretty funny, gave me good laugh.
I guess your thinking Ménage a ‘Troias?
Omg. Lol.

Maybe it’s a special robe rack.

I was curious so I looked on line and Wayfair had one with 6 hooks, even kinkier.

Thanks as always Jim.
I would never have thought of it if my wife Abby didn’t suggest I make it.

My instinct is to run when I see my wife approaching with a heavy shaft-shaped object, kudos for standing your ground 8^)

Fine work as always James, though I share the same question asked by Art!

Thanks Splinter.
After Art mentioned the three hook robe rack I went back again on line and found a robe rack with eight hooks.
I thought. It must be getting pretty crowded in that shower. :-O
Or maybe their just trying to save water and their dog wants in? Nah I’m going with Arts theory.
