El camino bed

My daughters neighbor restored this 64 el caminp and asked if i would helo him make the wood bed he wanted to cover the metal bed that was in rough shape. i ripped down and rabbeted the boards to accept the metal rails that he put between the oak boards.
i then sanded and finished the boards so he could install them. the pictures dont to this project and justice but it really turned out nice.
he worked on this rig for four uears.

-- No dust on the floor....No money in the bank

the bed looks darn nice and the El Camino looks even better – yep, I’m a chevy fan

That’s just freaking cool. You know tho… you should really get to test drive it just to make sure the bed holds up….. just from a woodworking perspective. Lol
