I have had the urge to get my old setup going again and wanted to have an easy means of holding records which were out. This large piece of oak (bottom) was dadoed with two angle cuts
The two walnut pieces are 4/4 and will hold the records one or many

I also cut some small recess cuts on the top to keep albums from sliding

I like it! What a great idea! Mine are always laying against the cabinet when I’m spinning old vinyl. They begin to collect all over and it starts looking like my room as a teenager…as I’m still to lazy to put them away.
Looks really nice Randy, and great that you’ve preserved that album collection!

Thanks RC yes to me it gives legacy to what music used to be seeing the artist, all the music not just one song. I also enjoy seeing the record spinning and how it can pick the tune from grooves with a needle. True music has come a long way but we can’t remember the legacy. Many are going back to some records for just that reason. Oh yes I can still listen from my 10 year old iPod classic ——. it works also.
