I built this Desk Clock by using a vintage Mickey Thompson
connecting rod mounted on a wood base and fitted with
a quarts clock movement in the big end.
The rods came out of an engine that exploded and the
marks from the explosion are visible
I would like to build and sell more of them but getting the rods
is getting harder and harder.

That’s delightful. I know a few gearheads who will love those.

I like that. That’s a nice idea.

Classic desk piece for the car guy!

I’ve been pondering making a few “gear head”projects, I have a box full of bent rods from my mal-spent youth pushing engines a bit too much 8^)

It seems your supply should continue, it’s not like the drag racers have stopped pushing their HP numbers….

Have your say...
