I used this Japanese cedar slab to make a very simple computer desk for the family. Nothing fancy but turned out pretty good! I still need some cedar door or drawer fronts to finish off the base. I trimmed it from 7 to 6 feet in length and will use the off cuts for a some matching floating shelves in the near future. 4×4 cedar post for the leg.
To be honest, Japanese cedar is way too soft for a desk.. but the slab was only $70 and hopefully the Poly will give it enough protection.

That is one stunning desk. The color is so nice and warm. Is it stained?
