I was asked by Jan/Dutchy if I would test build an army truck for him I said sure I am in between projects now anyways so here it is another very beautifully detailed army truck

if you have ever wanted to try a plan like this I do suggest Dutchys plans they are very easy to follow plus all the templates make it even easier yet just paste onto wood of your choice and start cutting and drilling

so here it is made mostly from oak and walnut and mahogany some maple after I seen this pattern Bobs project came to my mind and I knew thats what I wanted to do for this bed so I asked him if he cares if I use his idea he was very generous to me and said go right ahead he even told me how to do it only think I did differently was I used black stain as I hate the smell of ebonizing formula

took about 28 hours because the plans were wonderful oh also stained the wheels this time I did change it up a very little to suit my ability’s but not much ENJOY :<)))

Awesome! Love the wood you used for the stake bed. Sure looks authentic!

Youve really got this model making refined to an art, Tony. I like the antique look of the panels for the bed, and also the grill- that came out real nice.

Great job GR8, didn’t know you could read Dutch pictures though you probably printed on English printer. Neat choice of undressed timber for the box or did you just run out of sandpaper…

Nevertheless, you should have spent a bit more time on the suspension and the roll bar, or a few hours on truck driving lessons,

sheesh, how embarassment!

Wow that’s soooooo awesome Tony! I don’t know where you model-building guys find the patience or the precision to make these things.
