This is a 3’ x 5’ dinette table and four chairs that I built for a friend during the lockdown. The woods are white maple and black walnut. I used a combination of techniques. The breadboard style top was made with standard mill work tools (jointer, planer, router, drill press), and the frame parts were milled out with a CNC router using plans done on the computer. The piece is finished with 5 coats of hand rubbed Minwax Tungoil finish. The chairs parts, maple and walnut, were almost entirely milled on the CNC, including mortices and tenons. Learned a lot about the CNC process without loading the scrap bin too heavily.
