Well, I started this project two years ago. Right after the removal life events happened and it was put on hold. Jim was stuck using a single hot plate, bbq grill, and a laundry sink for a year. Restarted again last June, and this weekend it was completed. I hired out for the propane tank and line installation (the permit for that requires a license).
Though I can make a single door, quite sure 26 of them would really tax my abilities and time. Ordered them through a California cabinet shop ( Ordered them unfinished on a Monday, received delivery the following week. Stained, then sprayed several coats of water based poly. Installed with Blum hinges. Boxes were 5/8 melomine, drawers are baltic birch, face frames and doors are white oak. The countertops are Wilsonart laminate, also used their beveled edge treatment, and have a tiled back splash. LED’s were used for the under cabinet lighting.
This was my fourth complete kitchen remodel. We are fortunate that we can do this ourselves as we wouldn’t be able to afford the contractors labor expense or markups. Brother Jim is now a happy cook!
Kitchen number five is on the planning board. :>)

Your brother must not be married. My wife would have been a little unhappy waiting for the kitchen to be finished!
