Another Saw Bench

A split top saw bench, garden bench, or a mobile workbench ? This is my take on Stumpy’s $10 saw bench, taking advantage of nice weather to file some saws in the yard.

Work benches have enlarged such that my feet dangle like a small child when I sit on them. This one solves that problem at 32×12 and shy of 20 inches in height.

After I finished, and it realized its benchiness, it thought that maybe another should exist with some details changed to incorporate a leg vise and a dead man. If that ever happens, I’ll call it the $20 stumpy roubo.

Just another saw bench? Hardly. Nicely done so I’m gonna steal the design.

I’ll even label it Stumpy’s Roubo.

Again, well done.

The Stumpy dialogue around the saw bench is a classic.

Nice work. They are so handy, you may quickly find you need two.

stumpy roubo
- inserting the leg vise like a Moravian

Not likely a useful dead man.
