This was one of my first projects after I retired and decided I wanted to learn woodworking. I bought equipment that a friend told me were essential tools. Table saw, jointer, planer, et. I liked craftsman style furniture and I went on line and found plans for this. I made it out of quarter sawn oak (back then the price wasn’t too bad). I still own it and most people think it is one of my best pieces. Its not my favorite because it I just followed the plans that someone else designed.

Nice job. I find that plans are more of a good starting point, and I make changes here and there to suit my tastes.

The Stickley bookcase is on my short list of things to make for our living room. Where did you find the plans?

I made it almost 20 years ago. I will try to find out the source and post later

I like the look of your bookcase. Good execution of the plans.
