I got the black table for $200 and a .40 Ruger ($300) a while back. I had some curly maple that I resawed down to 1/8” and did the rails with contact cement and a butt load of clamps. I used pre-fin birdseye 1/4” ply for the sides. I wrapped and padded the corners with foam and leather. I wrapped the rails with the same leather. Finished with oil and some minwax. I love it.

That’s an outstanding redo.

That is a night and day difference. I might have to attempt this when i get my basement dart and billiard room finished. Which has to wait for some foundation work :(
