Hybrid Native American Vessel

This is my latest wood turned project, another Native American vessel. This one is a hybrid piece of part closed and part open segment design.
It’s made of 849 pieces of Maple, Purpleheart and Yellowheart. For the finish I used EEE buffing compound followed by a Shellawax friction polish and finally a microcrystalline wax finish.
This one took me some time to do, but with the stay-at–home conditions that we’re in I didn’t really have anything else to do.
This vessel is going to be donated to a charity auction.

I like that design, a LOT. The thumbnail looked like pottery, wasn’t until I enlarged that I could see the lines from the glue up.

Really nice piece, thanks for posting.
