Flower Stands From Left Over Scraps

Normally, I would save my leftover scraps of wood and make cutting boards out of them. But I decided to try something different this time. I cut them up on the band saw, glue them together, then plane and sand to make the tops. (They are 3/4 inch thick. Then a few small pieces of walnut are used for the frame. So far, I’ve made about 12 of them and everyone really likes all the different woods in the top. This is a great way to use up all the small scraps of wood and make something really nice out of them.

I like them a lot it’s easy to see why they’re a hit. What are your leftovers left from ?

Well, as you can see, I haven’t posted many things on LJ… (just started posting some things.).. But, I have been doing woodworking as a hobby for years. So, when I get the chance I will post some pics of projects I have done before. That is what the leftovers are from.
