The wood is curly cherry and I used Hal Taylor’s plans.

This one was started in 2012 then put on hold due to family needs until this year.

I did not notice two of the back braces were out of order until after the headrest was glued on, not noticeable except to me so I came up with a back brace removal tool, along a lever block they popped right out.

Going back in was another story, I ended up denting the seat! You can see a piece of wet cloth in the picture, some heat from an iron and thankfully dents came back out.

I had to include pictures of the chair before and after the first coat oil/poly mix.

Very nice and very creative to replace the misplaced pieces of the puzzle.

She’s a beauty, Tim! I hope you put your initials and the year completed on that family heirloom.

I’m sure that Hal is proud of your work. He’s a gentleman, craftsman, and a great mentor. And you do nice, nice work.

MJCD – I was fortunate meet Hal at his shop near Fredericksburg Va when I picked up the rocker plans. It was great to be there, I could have stayed all day!
