With our new work from home lifestyle, I added a weight bench to my ‘home gym’. Used some scrap cedar posts, and a few odd n ends to make this. Based on a drawing online (afajarito) and a Steve Ramsey video. Easy build, looks pretty good, and works perfectly!!

One less excuse!

Oh, and some new handles on my skipping rope too! (pics on my instagram account)

Neat… You have some fit equipment… I could sit back with a glass of vino watching them workout for hours.

Though, it seems a bit Spartanish without cushions. At least the bar-bells are half way to a bar.

Just kidding, well done.

Nice version of Steve’s workbench. Good addition with the jump rope.

Man that looks great. I’ve been needing one but to tight to buy one. Mayb I’ll steal this and build it. How’s it doing with no padding tho?

Thanks everyone,

I’d like to add some pads, which would be easy enough to do (maybe even an old yoga mat would work.) However, I am surprised that it is still quite comfortable without. Turns out padding is a more of a luxury than a necessity… In the end it gets the job done!

Looks GREAT! Anyone have plans for a squat rack? A foldable squat rack would even be better.

You must be in great shape with those heavy weights!
I like the contrast between the top and bottom.
How wide are the two floor supports? Wide enought with out wobble?
