A friend of mine has a small dog. She was always lifting the dog onto her 30” bed. She was looking for something where the dog could get up by itself. So I mad this set of steps out of 1/4” fiber board. The steps are 24” high and the legs fold down (pic 2) so it can slide under the bed. I used pins (pic 3) to lock the legs up when in use.

Looks great. How did the dog like it?
I have a “short legged” Welsh Corgi but I made a ramp instead of stairs leading to a flat top a few inches short of the bed height and it runs parallel with the end of the bed so it only sticks out about 10”. The top also serves as a seat for putting my shoes on.
