Sorry for only one picture but that was all I was able to get. My Son needed an idea for his Mom’s birthday. He decided he would do a print of a flowering bush (rose of sharon) she has in the yard and asked if I would do a frame for him. Can’t say no to your Son so I put a rush on it. Her birthday was May 8th so it was still late. (My fault. Another fight with my enemy, the 45 degree angle) The wood is silver maple with a walnut insert around the edge with a cove. The wood came from a tree that fell in our yard 2-3 years ago. She was very happy with it.

Looks great. Would have loved to see the walnut detail more closely. Nice project and that picture is beautiful too.

I’ve had that same 45 degree angle enemy show up in my shop!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree, I need more pictures. I finished it yesterday and my Son was really wanting to present it to my wife so pictures kind of got missed. It’s on the wall now so I may try to get one or two. I do need to show the walnut trim, come out really smooth. I have only attempted it once before.

I can count on one hand the number of times I made a project for a birthday gift that actually was finished on time 8^)

Great gift from the two of you! I hope your Mother’s Day gift was as welcome (and on time 8^)

Wow. That silver maple looks pretty nice for a “trash tree”. It certainly made a nice frame for a nice photo.
