Did this a while ago based on Ana White’s plans and ideas.

Built the table and three benches, two in the blue as the table base, and one in red for a seating area.

Dry brushed the paint, light sand. Used steel wool and vinegar solution as the stain on all pieces. Darkened the wood and crackled the paint. Followed up with a light sanding and poly.

I used lumber from the big box store, so pine 2×4s, 2×6s. Had to deal with web lumber, twisting, curling, etc. I would probably approach the top differently next time.

The dark stain and weathered effect came from the steel wool soaked in vinegar for a while and then applied a couple of times.

Thanks!
