With summer on the horizon, and most of us spending a lot of time at home right now, I wanted to design a patio chaise lounge with an adjustable back so I could lay in the sun or read a book out on my deck. That being said, I really wanted something compact that I could easily store away when not in use. That’s how I came up with this deck wedge that folds flat for easy storage, and you can pretty much set it down anywhere you want!

I made it entirely from salvaged cedar scraps I had in my garage. Assembled with carriage bolts and lock nuts. Finished with teak oil.

I’m going to get a lounge cushion to pair with this and then it will be just like I’m at the beach. Someone bring me a cocktail ;)

You can watch the build video HERE

Good work with the video nice looking shop you have. A little more free time now without the Stanley cup playoffs.
