Talking to my very good lifelong OCD friend, who does incredible work and keeps his shop and house incredibly clean and neat, Me being the opposite, said I would send some of my pack rat stuff to him, made a scratch awl for him.

So, taking an old masonry bit, an old plumbing part and a cutoff of Sirari Rosewood, his package will be sent to him.

Fellow pack rat here as well (thanks Dad).

That turned out great. I still need to make an awl at some point for myself.

Nice looking awl!
Masonry bit? You mean you had to grind all the flutes off to make this? Holy Cow, that’s a lot of grinding!

Georgia Jim, Well, I could not use something new, and with all this social distancing in force (everybody else home making noise and complaints), grinding away in my own little shop, with my own little music was kind of nice.
