Shopsmith owners are often practical and working in small spaces. I took my recent router table build and added 1 inch dowels to the bottom…by sanding a flat spot and 3 screws. I am using the extension table as a stand and a 3/4 in dowel as an extra leg..Anything could be the leg since the height could be adjusted to suit you. I showed this with no router insert and no fence to let you plan what would suit you. Also the new jpeg limit would not let me show the Shopsmith fence on the metal table …so you could use it and make more to your fence or just use your router table fence. Another plus is this is at the end of the Tool so work flow is not blocked by anything except walls or your own limits. My scrap made router table is in my projects for more details.. Please check it out Also an outfeed table for the Shopsmith. An under Shopsmith Cabinet is in my blog. Thanks Hal.

i ran my test cut with the Harbor Freight 2 hp router and my fence. the height was nice for me..5’6”..at 32 in high. I had plenty of room. The gloss black table and coats of wax worked wonderful. still working on a pvc dust colleciton to my hose, but all in all pleased with this new addition to my shop shed or shed shop. 8×16.
Have your say...
