Folding Out-feed Table

I have been wanting to build a folding out feed table for my SawStop since I got the saw. The time at home during this epidemic allowed me to get it done.

This design is based on one by Chris Marshall but I made some changes to fit what I needed and the fact that I was working with materials on hand. I did not want to go to the Big Blue or Orange store to buy anything.

I clipped the corners to allow me to work around a lolly column and I modified the sliding support too.

This is made from white pine and hardwood plywood, probably from China since I do not recognize the wood.

I did not want to drill any holes in the cabinet of my saw so I used 4 magnets and two molly bolts. There are two holes at the base of the cabinet. I could not get to them from inside of the cabinet as they were below the floor of the cabinet. I installed 4 cup magnets to hold the top of the base plate. It is made with half-lap joints.

The support is a beveled center piece that rides in the outer carriage with a slot routed down the center.

Attachment to the saw is with lag bolts at the top and a combination of molly bolts and magnets on the cabinet.

Have your say...
