I recently completed making yards worth of French Cleats and now I get to fill them up, in a never ending effort to clean up my shop space.  I was using the Jig Saws to cut out squares in the plywood French Cleat walls for the electrical outlets, so they were the first tool holders that I decided to construct.

The Milwaukee uses a method that is widely found on the Internet (I looked at a lot of YouTube videos re: French Cleats) and that is the hole in the platform for the saw to poke through while it is resting in the holder.  The bottom of the lower “box” has a big hole in it (last pic) in case anything important ever drops into the blade hole. I haven’t seen any jig saw blade holder ideas, but I wanted to keep the blades with the tool, so I came up with the vertical slots for storage on the Milwaukee Jig Saw holder.  I also like that I can store the Milwaukee Jig Saw with or without battery as there is a notch on the right side of the support that keeps the handle supported.

The Makita Jig Saw holder is vertical, versus horizontal, as I wanted to store the power cord compactly with the tool.  Not sure if I chose the optimum design for the Makita, but it works for me. I finished both tool holders with Danish Oil.

Good job. With french cleats your imagination is the limit. In a matter of time your shop will be fully organized!

The question Luis is “the matter of time” – will it be weeks, months, years or in even in my lifetime?
