This was my lockdown project. I had a lot of nice offcuts that I’ve been wanting to do something with but never had the time…..now with the lockdown there’s plenty of that.
The cabinet is mostly Afromosia but there is some Black Walnut, Kiaat and Iroco as well. The sliding mirror door was a challenge for me. I used mortise and tenon on the frame. The Afromosia mirror slides on Afromosia rails. Slides don’t get better than that….runs like glass. For the back I laminated a mix of timber to give it some contrast.
All in all a good use of offcuts and I can move around in my shop again :)
