Finely crafted from 1×8 and 1×4 Pine. Plexiglass for the windows. Finish is called Witch’s Brew. Doors use piano hinges, and the rest of the hardware is black. 3 drawers across the bottom to hold block planes, or spare parts.
Drawers have through dovetails out front, cut by hand tools. Back of the drawers sits in a dado. No metal fasteners were used in making the drawers. Right hand door has a magnetic catch to hold it closed. Left door uses an outside latch.
Case uses through dovetails at the corners, shelves sit in sliding dovetails.
Just a way to keep the dust off of the planes…
Thanks for looking in…

It is a wonderful plane collection and lovely cabinet. One question:
In junior high school woodshop we were taught not to store hand planes on their soles, so they are not resting on their blades. That is one of the reasons why the sides are designed as they are.
What are your thoughts on this?

from what ive read the so called experts say dont worry about it,rest them blade down, not something to be concerned with? as long as it’s on a wood surface at least.
