Bloodwood Box

This one makes a statement. Its bold contrast, figured walnut lid, and simple lines are the reasons to add this to my personal favorites.
The body of the box is bloodwood, crotch figured walnut for the lid, quilted maple lid pull, and very dark wenge legs. Brass pins hinge the lid. Black velvet lined. Finished in lacquer.

Very nice one kdc that figured walnut really makes a statement. I can see why it’s one of your favorites.

Question. How is it jointed? Something like this has been kicking around in my noodle.
It is a very lovely box and that Walnut. Wowee.

Very nice, while back I started a box similar to this 4 Walnut post and rails with some real crazy grained Oak panels, thought it would be to fragile for the intended recipient:) Been meaning to finish it before pieces go missing or repurposed:) What is the size? Approx, how many feet long?
