Log cabin bird houses

With this lock down, looks like everyone has the same idea. Outdoor projects. These are some bird houses I finished a bit ago. Nice and simple, just cut 3/4 by 3/4 pieces, notch them and round over. To assemble I glue then run a dowel down the notches and outside of the hole for a good long lasting fit.

I like it Jeff. Just like Lincoln logs. Nice job. This may be the style of my next one.

They are sure fancy looking but the birds won’t be as impressed as me.
They’ll just be happy for the home.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.

Tony-Yes, it’s just painted. But the whole house has a coat of clear lacquer.
Vicki-I may need to take one.
Dave-Give them a try. Easy, just a little time consuming.
Ivan-Thanks
Bob-Thanks
crowie-Glad you like them. I have one and a family of bluebirds have lived in it for years now.
Tony-Thanks

Great little project, Jeff. I have been wanting to make some bat houses, so maybe I will copy your style here for those.

Ungrateful birds don’t know how good they got it. They will live in your cool houses and then poop on your car.
Well done.
